As the world continues to move at an overwhelmingly fast pace, more terminal illnesses without cure are being discovered all around the globe. While pharmaceutical organizations are not capable of keeping up with this endless cycle of the new fatal life-threatening diseases encountered globally, various medical institutions in a number of countries have come up with a quick solution of providing these poor victims with a self-suicidal method, that is, Euthanasia. Regarding this severe matter, I strongly believe that providing Euthanasia to those who are suffering with incurable illnesses should be permitted worldwide.
Those who have to constantly endure the immense pain for every hour of their daily lives should be given the right to end their life. These people are not suffering by choice and yet they are utterly helpless as they are not given the opportunity to relinquish the excruciating torment. The experience of living a regular life on the daily with a healthy unimpaired body should be given to each and every living thing on Earth. However, that is not the case for these ill-fated individuals who have to go through the horrendous routine of being hospitalised, lying down miserably on their beds, staring blankly at the ceiling without a single drop of hope as all that comes to mind is the agonizing torture they have to face in their lifetime. In a number of countries, those who undergo this unfortunate ordeal are granted with the opportunity to end the pain with Euthanasia. In this particular circumstance, they are given the right to end their life accordingly to their tolerance alongside whether or not their living conditions are able to support their medical condition. Many choose to resort to this self-suicidal option due to several factors which are taken into account, such as financial issues and the lack of support.
Some people might argue that suicide in any way shape or form should be categorized as an illegal act regardless of the reason behind why said individual choose to take their own life. That in itself has been an ideology for decades as anything involving death is considered taboo in the society. Those who are against the usage of euthanasia believe that everyone lives for a reason, including people who are suffering from these life-threatening diseases.
However, no matter how much people contradict the idea of having euthanasia as an option as a ‘cure’ to their never-ending torture, these people have to eventually adapt this modernized mindset. It is moderately effortless and rather selfish for someone who does not have to go through the experience of dealing with these terminal illnesses or simply viewing it from a third person’s perspective to protest against the usage of this method. They do not understand how one may feel when put in such a position where all that comes to mind is hopelessness and pain. Hence why a number of states disregard euthanasia as unlawful.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that euthanasia should be legalized in all states of all countries as an option to those suffering from incurable illnesses due to the fact that these people come from various backgrounds, including those which may not support their medical conditions.
